Restorative rest is the foundation of well-being, emotional balance and day-to-day performance. A balanced diet, a regular sleep schedule and looking after the nervous system help the body cope with everyday stress. However, when additional support is needed, it is important to choose thoughtfully formulated food supplements with a clear physiological rationale.

This article introduces the ingredients in this food supplement, their amounts and functions, and explains the different forms in which magnesium, vitamin B6 and melatonin are provided in this product.

The pace of modern life, ongoing stress, information overload and an irregular routine can disrupt normal sleep patterns. Insufficient sleep can make it harder to concentrate and remain productive during the day. Looking after your rest therefore involves paying attention to daily habits and your sleeping environment.

Sleep is more than a few hours of rest. It is a complex process of recovery within the body. Throughout the night, we pass through several sleep cycles, whose duration varies over the course of the night. These consist of non-rapid eye movement (NREM) and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. NREM sleep involves important processes associated with physical recovery, hormonal regulation and immune system maintenance. During REM sleep, the brain actively processes information and participates in memory consolidation and emotional regulation.

But why is it sometimes so difficult to relax and fall asleep, even when we are very tired?

There are many possible reasons, so difficulty falling asleep alone does not indicate magnesium deficiency. When discussing nutrition, it is worth considering magnesium, one of the minerals obtained from food. It is found in nuts, seeds, pulses, wholegrain foods and green leafy vegetables. The recommended daily portion of this food supplement—one capsule—contains 55 mg of magnesium.

GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is an inhibitory neurotransmitter involved in transmitting signals within the nervous system. Sleep and wakefulness are regulated by many interconnected mechanisms. Difficulty falling asleep should therefore not be attributed solely to a deficiency in a single mineral. If these difficulties persist, it is worth discussing their causes with a healthcare professional.

We tend to think that all essential nutrients can be obtained from our usual diet. Indeed, a balanced diet should remain the primary source of vitamins and minerals.

In everyday life, magnesium intake depends on the foods we choose and the amounts we eat.

Several factors can contribute to magnesium deficiency. Magnesium may be poorly absorbed in the intestine or excreted more readily through the kidneys. The body’s magnesium status is also influenced by digestive health, certain diseases, medications and individual metabolic characteristics. If a deficiency is suspected, its assessment should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

Magnesium intake should therefore be considered in the context of the overall diet and individual circumstances.

When additional support is needed, it is important to choose thoughtfully formulated products with a clear physiological rationale.

However, it is not only the amount of magnesium that matters, but also the form in which it enters the body. What does liposomal magnesium delivery technology mean?

Not all magnesium compounds are equally soluble. Once ingested, they pass through the digestive tract, and many factors influence their dissolution and subsequent absorption. This formulation uses liposomal technology to deliver magnesium. Liposomes are very small vesicles made from lipids (fatty substances). Their walls consist of a lipid bilayer that is structurally similar to cell membranes. Substances are incorporated into these structures. This describes the way in which they are delivered.

Liposomal technologies are used to develop various delivery systems. The properties of a particular formulation depend on its composition and manufacturing process.

In the Magnesium + B6 + Melatonin formulation, liposomal technology is used to deliver the magnesium component.

Liposomal magnesium is magnesium provided using liposomal technology. One capsule of this formulation contains 55 mg of magnesium.

The second ingredient in this supplement is vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is relevant here because of its role in supporting normal nervous system function. Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function, as well as to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It also contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the regulation of hormonal activity. One capsule of this food supplement contains 5 mg of vitamin B6—357% of the nutrient reference value (NRV).

Magnesium and vitamin B6 are different nutrients brought together in one formulation.

In this product, magnesium is provided in an ingredient prepared using magnesium oxide, while vitamin B6 is provided as pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Melatonin is the third ingredient in MAGNESIUM + B6 + MELATONIN

Melatonin is a hormone produced by the body that is associated with the daily sleep–wake rhythm. It is often referred to as the “sleep hormone”. Its production usually increases in the evening as light levels decrease. Melatonin contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin close to bedtime. One capsule of this food supplement provides this amount.

As we can see, this formulation combines three ingredients. Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function, while melatonin contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep. When choosing a food supplement, it is also important to consider the substances obtained from other sources, such as food or other food supplements.

Three ingredients. One combined approach.

MAGNESIUM — a mineral provided in this formulation using liposomal technology. One capsule contains 55 mg of magnesium.

VITAMIN B6 — contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, normal psychological function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

MELATONIN — contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin close to bedtime.

LIPOSOMAL TECHNOLOGY — the magnesium delivery method used in this formulation.

Magnesium + B6 + Melatonin combines three ingredients with liposomal magnesium delivery technology.

This formulation brings together 55 mg of magnesium, 5 mg of vitamin B6 and 1 mg of melatonin in one capsule. Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, while melatonin contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin close to bedtime.

Food supplement
